Error in Visual Studio w/ Content Management Server

Hi, here's the situation. I have Visual Studio 2003
loaded on my local PC. The Content Management Server is
on a Server of it's own. When I choose to create a New
project with using the MCMS option of MCMS Web
Application, I get an error message stating:

"Could not get the root template directory"

Also, when I open the MCMS Template explorer it gives me
a message that it cannot connect to it.

I then remote consoled over to the server and went
through the same exact steps using Visual Studio 2003
loaded on the server and was able to create a project
fine. The MCMS Template Explorer shows me the template
structure and everything. My question is, what is
different configuration-wise on my local PC and on the
Server itself that is causing this problem?
