Hello,

I am trying to install Sharepoint Portal Services on a Win 2000 Server with
MCMS 2002 SP1a with no luck. Is there some sort of prerequiste I have to
perform other than the Microsoft one's

Hi Carmine,

this seems to be more a Sharepoint related question.
On my boxes this installs fine.
In addition you did not give any details about the problem/error message you
see.

Hi Stefan,

Here is a copy of what I get;

[01/30/04,21:34:00] SharePoint Portal Server: [2] CVAIComponent, Error
0x80004005: VAIFy failed
[01/30/04,21:34:00] SharePoint Portal Server: [0] CVAIComponent::Install,
Error setting up VAI.

I only have one CMS Website running on this box with the IP address set to
All Unassigned and using port 80 like Microsoft Recommends.

That might have helped, but I am running a Windows 2000 Server with MCMS
2002 SP1a and Sharepoint Portal Server 2001.
