I have Installed CMS 2002 on a windows 2003 Enterprise server (clean
installation, no upgrade) but after running the CMS Database configuration
the web server stopped serving any aspx files.

I have changed the process model in the machine config to hold an
administrator privileges,

I have added the ASPNET to the administrator group, and gave full permission
to everyone and to ASPNET on the two ISAPI Filter DLLs that CMS adds
(REAuthFilt.dll, REHtmlPackager.dll), even put the IUSR_Machine name user
to the administrator group but with no help.

I keep on getting application unavailable.

When I reinstall the operating system and put windows 2003 standard
edition, everything worked smoothly.

Does any one know if there is any solution to this problem except
reinstalling the operating system?

Thanks in advance,

Yoav

Hi Yoav,

is this a dual/multi proc machine or is hyperthreading enabled?
Then check out the following KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?id=821157

Cheers,
Stefan.
