Page not found when Saving

| On a busy system that does both delivery and content authoring, the users are seeing the following problem approximately 20% of the time.
When editing a posting, either new or existing, often when they Save or Save and Exit, they get a 404 Page not found. When this happens, a new page does not appear and changes to an existing page were not saved.
Any ideas on what to look at in trying to debug this?

| Hi Clif,
this is most likely not a 404 page not found but DNS error, server not
found.
This is a known bug in IE.
Have a look here:

Cheers,
Stefan

| Interesting.
I'd already looked through the server logs and couldn't see 404 errors to back up what they were reporting, so I'm now waiting for some screen shots with the exact error.

| Hi Clif,
this proves my assumption.
You should open a support call with Microsoft and request the hotfix I
suggested.
You need to be aware that this fix needs to be installed on every authoring
browser machine.
Cheers,
Stefan.
