I am trying to edit \server\IIS_CMS\WebAuthor\Client\PlaceHo
lderControlSupport\ActiveXediting.vbs
but my changes are not being reflected in the web author.

In fact, I can rename activeXediting.vbs to a totally different file
name and still continue editing with no problems.

Is this the wrong file?

Thanks,
Matt.

Hi Matt,

do you use ASP.NET template or ASP templates?

Cheers,
Stefan.

Hi Matt,

then this is no wonder.
The file you are looking at is only used by ASP.NET based templates.
You need to look for the following file:
\Program Files\Microsoft Content Management
Server\Server\IIS_NR\System\WBC\Customiz
able\Hooks\ActiveXToolbarHooks.inc

Cheers,
Stefan
