| Hi,
When I create hyperlinks to other web pages within my CMS
site and approve them, they keep changing back to
unpublished mode urls. I roll over a link on my CMS page
and see the NRMODE in the url instead of the regular url.
got any suggestions.
Thanks,
Russell

| Hi Russel,
please answer the following 3 questions:
1) do you see the unpublished links in published mode?
2) Does this also happen if you create the links with a CMS administrator?
3) Is CMS 2002 SP1/SP1a applied?
Thanks,
Stefan.

| Hi,
1. Yes
2. I am the cms administrator. Another friend of mine
with admin privilages tried changing the url back to the
real one: www.whatever.com/me but it changed back to
www.whatever.com/NRMODE&. It didn't change immediately
back just back after logging in and reapproving other
content on the same page. So, Yes to that question too.
3. Service Pack 1 I think.

| Hi Russel,
there is no known issue in CMS 2002 SP1 or SP1a that can cause this for
administrators.
Only known issue with SP1 is for non-(CMS-)administrators.
So you should open a support case to get this investigated.
Cheers,
Stefan.

| Hi Stefan,
Maybe this bit of info will help. Like I was saying
earlier, when I am on the live site and roll over a url,
it shows an unpublished url in the taskbar instead of the
live url. Then when I click on the url it takes me to the
login screen I edit my site with.
Hope this bit of info helps me.
Thanks man,
Russell

| Hi Russel,
this is as expected for unpublished URLs.
But unpublished URLs should not be shown.
Please verify the service pack level by looking at the about box of
SiteManager:
1581 = RTM
2284 = SP1
4484 = SP1a
If this is SP1 or SP1a then please open a service request.
Cheers,
Stefan.

| Hi Russel,
ok, then you did not apply a service pack.
There are several bugs in CMS that have been fixed in SP1/SP1a which can
cause this.
So I would recommend to install this hotfix and the problem should be
solved.
Please be aware that the service pack will only ensure that new links will
not break any more.
Already broken links have to be corrected manually.
Cheers,
Stefan.
