Possible to deploy only a posting (not the channels below it)?

| Hi,
I am trying to write a program that will update an external CMS site
automatically, so far I have wrestled with the limitations on
specifying what channels to export and which not to export and the
only remaining problem that I need a workaround for is this.
I export channels below the root node of the site, those that should
be exported (this is several exports since you cannot specify just the
root and then select those that shouldnt be included). Now the problem
we have is that the default posting that is right below the root node
wont be exported, if I include that one the whole site will be
exported and that is not intended.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Regards
Christian

| How about create a "fake" channel under root channel and put your default
page in that fake one.
Let the default page below the root node redirect to that fake
channel......?
