| Hi I'm back ;0)
Followed the evaluation guide - but didn't installed a sample site.
In place...
IIS 6.0 up and running
completed the SCA - worked fine
completed the DCA completed - worked fine and points to empty DB on a
different SQL server....
Site manager up an running - but no template nor default page
How do I create a default page so I can request it my browser...and edit it
from the browser ...
made a default.asp in the website... but it only returns hello world as I
have told it to...but in the site manager no default page is listed?
Is there a standard standard template to start with?
TIA

| Hi Bent,
I'm not sure if you are talking about a channel rendering script or about a
posting.
Both can show up as a default page.
Either create a page that should work as a channel rendering script and
assign it to the channel rendering script property of the channel or create
a template and create a posting based on this template in your channel.
Then set the value of the default item to the name of the posting.
Cheers,
Stefan.

| Hi Stefan
I had the idea/logic - that under the templates icon in site manager where
some kind of default template that I could use for the all the future pages
in my website - but there aren't any.... ;0(
My idea was to create my (web) struture ..e.g. about us, references, contact
information etc. etc. - channels and then some subchannels - and in the
subchannels define a default page - based upon the standard template...
