I've run into a problem after migrating a site from MCMS 2001 -> MCMS 2002

When i rename a placeholder (definition) and bind my placeholder control on
my template i am not able to retrieve the content of the placeholder.

If i bind my control to a placeholder with the original name everything
works fine.

My procedure for renaming is the following:
1. Check out template
2. Go to placeholder definitions and rename (the "name" property)
3. Save and check in
4. In template file - reassign "PlaceholderToBind" to the new name

What am i missing ?

Hi Lars,

I have seen the same.
Afaik it is not possible to just rename a placeholder without loosing the
content.

Cheers,
Stefan.

Hi,

I have not heard about any plans to change this behavior.

Cheers,
Stefan.
