Hi Varad,

from Microsoft Support point of view you are not allowed to add your own
tables to the database.
Service Packs and potentially hotfixes will not correctly install or will
remove any custom table in the database.

Beside that direct access to the database to run queries or do do
modifications will break the Microsoft Support boundaries.
The reason for this is that the database schema is subject to change without
further notice.
This means installing a hotfix can change the database schema and this would
cause your queries or routines to fail.

The only supported way to access database content is to use the MCMS
Publishing API.
