The specified path ... for the Object Package is not valid
|
|
|
| Hi all, I am trying to do an import of a .rop package under Windows
2003.
When the import is completed the progress bar window tells me that the
import has been 100% completed succesfully but an error message
appears saying:
"Error: 8075
Description: The specified path E:\PROGRA 1\MICROS
3\Server\Temp\sdupload.rop for the Object Package is not valid.
Specify a valid path and perform this oprtation again. "
When I open Site Builder I see all the objects importted but when I
try to preview one of them I get a 404 page not found all the
time...so the import failed...
Thanks in advance for any help on this issue.
Kind Regards
Elena

| Hi Elena,
CMS 2001 is not and will not be supported on Windows Server 2003.
CMS 2001 is only supported up to Windows 2000.
If you need to run CMS on Windows Server 2003 then please upgrade CMS to CMS
2002 SP1a.
Regards,
Stefan.

| Hi Elena,
I am not very familiar with CMS 2001 (assuming you are using CMS 2001
because of your reference to 'Site Builder') but here are some MCMS 2002
trouble shooting techniques that you may be able to try on CMS 2001.
- Are you able to import any files into this CMS instance under Windows
2003?
- If not - Windows 2003 comes 'secure by default' so you may need to verify
the CMS System Account has permissions to read/write the "E:\PROGRA
1\MICROS3\Server\Temp\" directory.
or
- try to import the .ROP file into the server you exported it from to verify
its integrity
or
- Export some content from the Windows 2003 server that you are having the
problems on and then try to import the file onto the same server to see if
th
Also are you running the latest service pack / patches for MCMS 2001?
Regards

| As indicated: CMS 2001 is not supported and does not correctly run on
Windows Server 2003.
Only CMS 2002 can be used on Windows Server 2003.
Cheers,
Stefan.

Hi Stefan, thanks a lot as usual for your replies.
I tried to install the Sp 1 and now I don't get any error in the
import anymore. But when I try to see a page or other items (as an
image ) I get the 404 page not found message.
Best Regards
Elena
