Site Builder Placeholder properties

I am trying to change the properties in my placeholders in my page template.
I open the template in the authoring window and can't see the placeholders. I
used to be able to see each placeholder but can no longer see them. How can I
see each placeholder and modify the properties (images, video, text
properties, etc.)
