Hi,

The architecture of

DMZ FIREWALL LAN

MCMS SERVER------------sql traffic----------->SQL SERVER
^
^
|
| SQL traffic
-------------MCMS SITE DEPLOYMENT---MCMS SERVER

Hope this helps.

IF you don't like my 'save as ascii' from visio you can see the Deployment
guide at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/e...deploy_zvdc.asp

Hi Choi,

MCMS always is the Web server.
It is not possible to separate them.

If you need MCMS behind the firewall, and a frontend web server, then you
would have to implement a WebService proxy-stub scenario for this on your
own.

Cheers,
STefan.

The CMS server is the web server.

CMS is like an add-on to IIS.

So you will have

MCMS ------------->FIREWALL------->MCMS
IIS
IIS
Windows2000/3
Windows2000/3

then both MCMS servers will share a SQL Server behind the firewall.

Or send static snapshots of pages (what Site Stager once provided) from the
backend MCMS to the frontend Production server...

Correct - although this means that not MCMS is serving the content.
Its only a static snapshot of MCMS at a specific time.

Cheers,
Stefan

The production server requires IIS & MCMS.

Each server you want to serve & author MCMS content will need to have MCMS &
IIS installed.
