Author MCMS on MACS

Hi All,

I was just wondering if anyone has done a MCMS implementation using MACs
as the authoring environment & what browser versions etc they used.

(I know there are problems with the Web Author -> but there is a work
around by using another Placeholder control)

I am more interested in the functionality of the rest of MCMS; Dialogs &
all the supporting javascript etc.

Regards

there are loads of approaches to MAC content contribution - using custom
placeholders, web services and restrcited implementations of the telerik or
other DHTML edit controls

check out http://www.birmingham.k12.mi.us/ - majority of content
contributors on this site are MAC based.

drop me an email for more info on this - esp. regarding web author dialogs.

Hi Spencer,

But the MS line is that it isn't supported...

Have you heard any different?

Hi Paul,

That is more for subscribers not authors/editors...

But thanks anyway.

Hi,

No. It's certainly not supported.
But it can be made to work pretty easy, without modifying anything and using
compat. javascript in custom console actions etc.
So there's nothing to 'break' that will affect support.

cheers
s.
