We have recently installed Enterprise Edition with the
WoodGroveNet Sample Data for a Proof of Concept to see the
features and functions of a live site in MCMS.

When browsing to the site (http://localhost/woodgrovenet/
we are receiving the following error:

Server Application Unavailable
The web application you are attempting to access on this
web server is currently unavailable. Please hit
the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your
request.

Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause
of this specific request failure can be found in the
application event log of the web server. Please review
this log entry to discover what caused this error to
occur.

It states above that a log entry will be logged in Event
Viewer, but when I look in the Event Viewer nothing is
logged. I have tried to restart the server and also do a
simple IISRESET, but nothing seems to work.

Angus - Thanks for the document. Yes we have dual hyper
threated processors. I read the KB Article and it states
to run the HOTFIX for .Net FrameWork 1.1. When I do it
tells me "The product you are trying to install has
already been installed with your operating system. Use
Windows update to install the latest updates."

I went to the windows update site and no updates are
needed on the server. Does this mean I have the latest
version?

Angus

Thanks for the document and quick reply.

I ran a windows update per the KB article and I have the
latest and greatest of everything.

Any other suggestions before I contact Microsoft?
