Author cannot insert image via imageplaceholder

When ik try to insert an image in a image placeholder, i get an object
reference not set....... error.
i allready selected the desired image, and i inserted a link. Then when i
click INSERT i get the error.
Sounds familiar to someone??

I've only got it when i try to insert an image from local resource.
When i'm inserting an image from the resource gallery it gives no error.
