Problem with clearing the Revision History

| hello all,
i tried to clear the revision history...after 1.5 hours i closed the site
manager because it was marked as "not responding"...
now i get the following error:
Error: 4005
Description: The XML parser could not parse the tag it was given.
Severity: 5
Source: aegrammarparser.cpp 310
Debug info: Extended error: [What='There is currently a long running
transaction in the server. Please try your request again.Lock request time
out period exceeded. '] [LCID='1024'] [SourceFile=''] [SourceFileLine='-1']

Extra info:
Client Source: AETree::evhAETree_OnEvent:Menu\ToolsPurg
eRevisions
Recommended Action: The ODBC data source may be incorrectly configured, the
database may not be running, or there may be incorrect data in the database.
any ideas about that?

| Hi Björn,
the transaction is still running. If you never did this before it can take
several hours. One of our customers reported that it ran more than 48 hours.
There is a hotfix to speed this up:
