Author Read-Only vs Edit Site authentication differences

I currently have a CMS site (on CMS Enterprise) configured with two virtual
web sites pointing at the same CMS site. One site is set up as Read Only
and the Other site is set up for Editing.

The issue I am having is that when I connect to the Read-Only site the
integrated windows authentication is working fine. I have the site set up
to allow domain users to actually read the site as subscribers and everything
looks good.

At the same time when I hit the edit site it prompts me for windows
authentication before it will let me through to the site. I've looked at
the security configuration between the two virtual sites and everything looks
the same.

The file system structure is shared between the two applications so I
wouldn't think there would be a security issue there.

Is there something else I can look at within CMS that might explain why this
is working this way.

thanks
Malcolm
