Author Question re Multiple Domain Names for Same Site

Hello

My organization is in the early stages of deploying CMS2002. A consideration
is that our domain name may change at some point during the process and it
would be desirable to serve all pages from both the new and old domain name
on the same site. That is to say old.com/page1 and new.com/page1 amount to
the same thing ie present the page to the client from the same source.

As I understand it (please correct me!) the CMS ISAPI filter doesn't manage
this kind of header issue well. If this is the case does anyone have any
suggestions as to how we manage this? Is there a third party .dll that can
help etc.

Hope this is clear!

Regards

Jem

Are you using host header mapping in CMS? If not, I don't think you'll have
any problems.
If so, you can use another ISAPI filter, such as ISAPI Rewrite (google it)
to map any domain names that you want to the desired channel. I believe
Stefan G. had a blog posting on this.
