Hi All,

I have been trying to create an installation image of a Windows XP
machine with sysprep.exe and Ghost 2003 so that we can standardise the
installation on all three of our development machines.

The machine has the following applications / OS:

Windows XP Professional
SQL Server 2000
Visual Studio .NET 2003
MCMS
Novell Client
Novel Application Launcher
GroupWise
etc. etc.

I have been using the setup happily for over a year, content with just
an ASR backup for protection. The problem is that we (the development
team) decided that it was time for us to standardise our installations
and to create an installation image that can be used to rebuild any of
our machines. I used sysprep.exe with an answer file to reseal the
development machine then created the image. The image works well except
that IIS is missing the MCMS site, SQL Server losses reference to
external servers and nothing (Site Manager, Database Configuration
application etc) in MCMS works.

Does anyone know if this is a result of running sysprep? Does anyone
have a solution to this problem?

Many thanks,
Chez
