Authoring Connector no longer working
|

| I am using the CMS Authoring connector to create and maintain some of
my intranet content. I had some problems getting it to work initially
(500 erorr), but fixed it by commenting out the HTTPModules section of
all web.config files except the root. However, this process recently
stopped working and began to fire the same 500 error when trying to
update the existing pages. I've checked the web.config files and
nothing has changed. Is there anyway to fix this and if not is there
any way for me to update the pages manually and update the associated
word document until I have it working again? I have several updates
that are critical.
Thanks for any help,
Jason

| The <pages smartNavigation="false" validateRequest="false" /> tag
mentioned in your link is already there. Could this be a result of
some patch or service pack type maintenance on the server? I don't
know how to use the Net Mon that is mentioned. If nothing else - I can
make the edits manually on the page's template - but I don't know how I
could updated the associated document that is linked to on the page. I
need to gets edits done ASAP.
Thanks so much, Jason.

| Hi Jason,
network monitor is a component that ships with all Windows Server products.
If not already installed you can install it using Control Panel - Add/Remove
Programs - Windows Components.
Cheers,
Stefan

| Hi Jason,
if this is an urgent problem and you don't know how to work with netmon you
should open a support call with Microsoft support.
Cheers,
Stefan
