Author 2 CMS web sites, 2 ip addresses, 1 IIS

I have the following set up on ONE machine:

IIS,
2 CMS web sites.
Site 1 has an ip address of : 172.20.15.39
Site 2 has an ip address of: 172.20.15.40
The CMS channels are set up as the following:
Site 1: Root Channel -> Site 1 -> <channels>
Site 2: Root Channel -> Site 2 -> <channels>

I can access both sites, but the URL's look like this:
http://172.20.15.39/Site 1/<page name>
http://172.20.15.40/Site 2/<page name>

How can i remove the "/Site 1/" "/Site 2"/ from the URLs and still have the
proper pages display? I do not want to change the channel hierarchy.

Also, how can I keep the Channels for each site hidden from each other? I
do not want people who access Site 1 to be able to access posting and
channels to Site 2.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam

Hi Adam,

check out the "map channel name to host header name" feature of MCMS.
It is what you are looking for.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hello Adam,

Create appropriate rights groups for each site in the Site manager user roles.
So only the users with permission can create/modfiy postings.
