Moving CMS 2002 to a different domain.
|
|
|
| Is there any special tricks or setup required to move an MCMS 2002 database from one domain to other? Just to throw an extra wrench into things; both domains have the same name, but the original is our production environment and the new domain is a test
lab which is completely segregated from the production environment.
btw.. we're using Windows Authentication for the site as opposed to anonymous access.
Thanks.

| Hi JR,
what you need to do is to update the users and groups in the rights groups.
In addition the guest account and MCMS system account needs to be verified.
That's all.
Cheers,
Stefan

| Can you clarify what exactly you mean by "update"? Does that mean some sort of manual process, such as removing and re-adding them through the site manager (or something similar); or is there a utility that will do this type of thing?

| Hi JR,
it is the manual process you outlined below: remove and add again using
SiteManager.
Cheers,
Stefan
