your point of view about the situation...

a XP, the server is W2K Server.
2. In the Server's Site Manager, I Import the package with no errors
3. I try to re-assign the users to the newly restored right groups and this
error appears:
An unexpected error has occurred.
Please record and report details to the appropriate administrator.

| Hi Kmilo,
check below:
In Site Manager, check all user rights group members for any users have
a type "Unknown" (if a user is delected from the security provider, CMS
can't verify that user and will display the user type as "Unknown" in
Site Manager's user role Membership property). Since this issue only
affects CMS2002 SP1a Standard Edition, checking all the right group
memberships should not take a long time (Standard Edition has a 15
administrative/authoring users limitation, usually there will only be a
few user rights groups being implemented). Once yuo have located the
"Unknown" type user, delete it from the user Membership property page
Cheers,
Stefan.
