| Your first two ones in the list are very good... Coveo is actually free for up to 5000 items in your site so it's got an ideal price point. Mondosoft seamlessly integrates into MCMS and has some robust features. The Google API will let you do 1,000 sear
ches per day, but there are quite a few requirements (logo placement, mention of other engines on your machine, etc)... course you could opt for a fee-base version of Google (not sure what options there are).
If you already have a SharePoint Portal Server 2003, I'd leverage that search. The MCMS Connector has two included server controls to just "snap in" to a MCMS template to leverage the SharePoint search. In addition, it's very customizable (the SharePoin
t search that is, not the Connector controls). If you desire more customization, creation of a search page in a MCMS template, using SharePoint's search, is not a giant undertaking. I have an article on my blog about adding search to an MCMS site using
SharePoint as the search engine.
My favorite is the SharePoint integration. Why? With SPS becoming more prevelant in organizations, you can have the same search results from both environments. So if you had a SPS intranet, users could search your MCMS site from the site or from the po
rtal.

I work for a MS Gold Partner and need to evaluate a few different
Search Engines and wanted to know if anyone had any feedback to help me
narrow the field.
The ones I am most interested in hearing feedback regarding performance
and integration with either SPS or CMS are
1) Coveo
2) Mondosoft
3) Google
4) Fast
5) Verity
Also, does anyone know if any of these are gold certified or have any
..NET integration? Google seems to be the AOL of search, (simple,
expensive and useless).
Thanks,
John
