Upgrade from Standard to Enterprise
|

| I am upgrading a client from Standard to Enterprise edition. The only
comments about this that I've seen are that 1) I don't need to uninstall
standard and 2) the upgrade should be "seamless". Is there any other
documentation out there that I missed? What can I expect when I upgrade?

| Hi Candace,
I'm not sure if you really can install Enterprise Edition over Standard
Edition - I always uninstalled SE before installing EE.
But this is a very simple process as most settings are stored in the
database.
Cheers,
Stefan.

| Can you clarify a little more? If I uninstall Standard Edition, do I then
just install Enterprise Edition "from scratch" - is it just a straight
install, or do I have to be aware of other issues? BTW, I got the
information about not uninstalling SE from the Microsoft site at
http://www.microsoft.com/cmserver/d...on/editions.asp

| Hi Candace,
if they state that it will work, then I think that is correct - I just never
tried it.
Uninstall / Install would be as installing from scratch.
Cheers,
Stefan.
