Resolving to default pages
|
|
|
| Hi Stefan -
I've built a read-only version of our authoring site on a separate
production server, reading an identical copy of the database which is also
stored on that production server (we're running mixed-mode, Win 2003, IIS
6.0). I've checked my IIS settings on both machines and they are also
identical. However, on the production box, for the top level channels, any
links with URLs not pointing to a specific "/default.htm" address are not
resolving to a default page. Any pages living in secondary channels below
these top levels are resolving fine. Any ideas?
Thanks!

| Hi Jen,
please give samples of the URLs that work and that do not work.
Thanks,
Stefan.

| For example, this resolves to the default page correctly on authoring, but
not on the read-only production version:
https://mywebsite.com/ER/
These resolve fine on both:
https://mywebsite.com/ER/EmployeeDirectory/
https://mywebsite.com/ER/default.htm

| Hi Jen,
but
https://mywebsite.com/ER/default.htm works?
Is default.htm a posting?
is "default" configured as default posting for the channel?
Is the default posting in published state?
Cheers,
Stefan

| Hi Jen,
sounds as if you should open a support case for this.
Cheers,
Stefan.
