Author future releases of ms cms

hi,

just wondering about the lifecycle of cms. i'm about to plunge in a purchase
cms after evaluating for a period, but want to know that theres not going to
be a new release in the near future that'll require upgrading. i noticed that
Commerce server has an 06 release scheduled, and obviously SQL Server, Visual
Studio, .net 2.0 have releases scheduled end of this year, therefore one
would expect CMS to have a release in line with these, otherwise it'll be
left behind so to speak.

Any rough ideas or rumours would be helpful,

Michael

p.s. for anyone who's interested in documented for CMS i'd recommend Stefans
book 'Building Websites with Microsoft Content Management Server' over the
official Microsoft one, far better examples and more detail.

Hi Michael,

details about next version are available to customers with Premier support
contract und a non-disclosure agreement.
If your company has a premier support contract please contact your TAM for
details.

Cheers,
Stefan

Just to add: next version of MCMS will be part of Office 12.
So the release date is coupled to the release data of Office 12.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hi Bob,

sorry but such information is currently only available to customers with a
Premier support contract.
I assume some information will be provided at TechEd.
