Hi there

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or it just doesn't work properly.

I have an existing MCMS database which I have connected to a new
IIS6/Windows 2003 SP1 server. There are two MCMS sites on this server -
cmsweb-www which is a Read Only site with Anonymous Access enabled and works
fine (guest access enabled in SCA and the appropriate user has Subscribers
role on all object) and cmsweb which is a Read Write site with Integrated
Windows Authentication enabled (Domain Users group has Subscribers role to
all objects) but Subscribers cannot access any CMS content on the site.

They have RX access to the file system and can access static pages within
the IIS site. Authors and up have no problem accessing the CMS content but
even if users are individually added to a Subscribers rights group they still
can't get in. I have tried removing all users/groups from the Subscribers
rights groups and adding them back in but it makes no difference. I tried
removing Windows SP1 but that didn't help either.

I have other servers setup to share the same database between RW and RO
sites but they are on seperate servers. I have other IIS6 installations setup
but they don't share databases. All of my RO servers have RW site on them
which is only used for Site Manager access. These work fine. All my settings
appear to be consistent between the servers that work and this one, but I
still can't get in. Is this a known issue?

Thanks
Adam

It sounds very similar, in fact, to the problem Jim Doherty is having....
