Posting PDF's to a channel

| Hi all,
I'm relatively new to MCMS so the following may seem a silly question, I'm
not sure:
I'm trying to create a site search on a MCMS site which also indexes PDF's,
I have everything installed and am using the Snow Valley mcmsSearch + the
Adobe PDF iFilter plugin to create an index of the MCMS database. The spider
works fine for all the channels, but doesn't seem to index the resource
galleries (where I have the PDF's I want to index).... so the question
being; is there someway I can publish PDF's to a channel or somehow make a
resource gallery act as a channel? or am I looking at this the wrong way?

| Hi Rob,
you need to ensure that these resource gallery items are referenced by a
posting or channel rendering script that is being indexed.
Then the crawler should follow the links to the linked PDF files.
Unlinked items cannot be crawled.
If the items are not yet referenced add a special entry page for your
crawler and reference the resource gallery items here.
