| Stefan,
I tried #6 on the server and on a different machine and got the same
result - that url kicks back a bunch of strings...garbely gook to me
About #1 - I see more than one webconfig in various folders, which webconfig
do I need to make that edit to?
Thanks,
..Ryan.

| Hi Ryan,
Do you mean you have more then one web.config file in the same folders?
Add that line in the web.config in /MCMS folder (the default place is
'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Content Management Server\Server\MCMS') as you
are getting the error while accessing Site Manager.
Cheers,
Chester.

| I tried adding the line and it didn't change anything.
This is really a show stopper here. With the error I'm getting, could it be
a permissions issue at all?

| Hi Ryan,
After changing the settings did you try rebooting your server? I don't think
it is a permission issue. Did you try other suggestions from that faq?
Cheers,
Chester.

| Hi Ryan,
the last point in the FAQ talks about taking a netmon trace.
The trace will contain the error message text which will help to analyze the
problem.
Cheers,
Stefan
