Author Restricting Right Group Access to Place Holders?

According to the MS CMS 2002 complete guide we can't restrict access to
anything more granular than a container. Which seems to usually mean channel
or sub channel.

Is there a fairly easy way to restrict access to a posting and even more
targetted to just a placeholder within a posting? In other words so only
members of a Rights Group would be able to access that place holder or that
posting?

Thanks.

Hi,

sorry there is no way out of the box to specify more granular security than
a container (channel/template gallery/resource gallery).

You could build something into your templates (or custom placeholders) which
hide or prevent edits depending on custom security settings.

What are your specific requirements around security?

Regards
