CMS 2002 installation
|

| Hi,
I am trying to install CMS 2002. But on the Custom Setup page, there is an x
before SIte Manager, Developer Tool, and Site Stager. Only the CMS server is
getting installed. The installation manual says that this may happen because
all the prerequisite softwares are not installed. But all the prerequisite
softwares are installed.
What clould be the reason for this. and what is the solution.
Please help.
Thanks,
Ashish
confirm that all the MCMS components are ready to be installed. An x beside
a component name indicates that this feature has not been selected to be
installed, or that the prerequisite software is not installed

| Hi Ashish,
If this is CMS 2002 without a service pack you should continue with the
steps below.
Then install SP1a afterward and then add the missing components using
Control Panel Add/Remove Software.
CMS 2002 with SP1a would require the JavaVM (which is usually not installed)
and will not work with VS.NET 2003.
These two facts can cause the above behaviour.
Cheers,
Stefan
