Within our intranet (which uses MCMS) we have channels which contain a
number of postings. One of these postings is the default posting,
which basically creates a list page of all the other postings in that
channel (hope you're following me!).

We're finding though that if we move a posting into a channel, it takes
precedence and stops the listing posting from displaying (i.e. you
expect to see a list, but only see one posting). I then have to go
into site manager and amend the sort order of that channel.

This is becoming quite annoying as we are having to do this more and
more often, so I was wondering how MCMS decides on the precedence of
postings within a channel. Is it possible to set the sort order so
that one posting will always appear at the top of the list (and
therefore always be output first)?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

you should define the default posting name explicitly.
That will override any sorting precedence.

Cheers,
Stefan
