Can someone assist please? I installed Site Manager on a clients machine
using the same CD/setup files that I used on the server. However, I keep
getting an error when trying to connect site manager to the server.

The clients machine is running Windows 2000 pro and the server is running
windows server 2003.

Here is the error I recieved:

Error: 20076
Description: The client is unable to connect to the server because the
client's version is incompatible with the server's version. Please make sure
your client is connecting to a server with a compatible version.
Severity: 5
Source: Source: AEStubObject.dll aestub.cpp 605

Debug info: The client Version 5.0 (build 5.0.4484.0) currently is not
compatible with the server Unknown (build Unknown)
Extra info: No further information is available
Client Source: Login::ctlLogin_Click
Recommended Action: Please make sure your client is connecting to a server
with a compatible version.

I have read the FAQ and have seen the one about this same issue, however my
client is not running Windows XP so the fix does not apply. I have tried and
the clients machine has no IUSR... account since it is not running IIS. I am
just trying to connect the site manager app to the CMS server, any ideas?

Hi Donnie,

that's interesting. The server is not able to send his version number to the
client.
You should open a support case for this as this needs a netmon trace to get
analyzed.

Cheers,
Stefan
