SiteManager error when deleting resource as channel manager in MCMS 2002

| Hi all,
One of our clients uses Site Manager for managing resources quite
often. Recently we restricted their access to the channel manager role,
because there are multiple administrators working on that MCMS server.
When deleting resources the client got an error mesage saying:
Error: 0
Description: Unbalanced call to SetWaitCursor
Sevrity: 5
Source: FRAMEWND.AEMainWindow.1
Debug info: N/A
Extra info: N/A
Client Source: OEFResGallery::timerPostMessage_Timer:De
lete
Recommended Action: N/A
I tried deleting resources with my login which is in the administrator
group and everything worked fine.
Then i tried the same thing with a channel manager account and i could
reproduce the error above.
I tried putting the channel manager in some other groups as well
(resource manager, subscriber) but it didn't help much.
Strangely all resources in deleted items are locked and cannot be
deleted. I don't know if this is an expected behaviour.
The CMS Server has not been updated to SP1a.
Any ideas?

items in the deleted items folder can only be purged or restored by an
administrator.
The reason is the container level security model of MCMS.
If a channel manager of area A would delete a posting it will go to the
deleted items folder.
If now a channel manger of area B would be allowed to purge or restore items
in the deleted items folder he would be able to restore the posting deleted
by channel manager A as no protection can be given on item level.
To prevent this this permission has been tight to administrators.
About the error message you have seen: I only have seen this problem once
and there the customer resolved it by reinstalling MCMS before we had a
chance to get into details.
Either try reinstalling MCMS or open a support call for this.
