| Hi Jim,
what are your requirement?
Should all content be migrated to MCMS?
Should MCMS content be integrated with your sites content?
Should both systems live side by side?
Please give a little bit more input on your specific scenario.
Thanks,
Stefan

| Excuse me Stefan, they have to live side by side. I believe this is the process
1: copy the project into IIS root
2: create a Application from the dir
3: create a virtual directory in the app and point at CMS
4 create a virtual directory and point at webcntr_client
5: Create a database for cms
is any/all of that correct? Is there any additional stages.
Thanks!

| Hi Jim,
3) that does not make sense. There is no way to point a vdir to MCMS.
MCMS content lives in the database.
But postings living in the database will require template files and these
template file will live on a vdir on the disk.
So CMS template objects point to a template file in a vdir on the disk.
Cheers,
Stefan

| HI Jim,
That sounds correct.
1: copy the project into IIS root
2: create a Application from the dir
3: create a virtual directory in the app and point at CMS
4 create a virtual directory and point at webcntr_client
5: Create a database for cms
6 Install MCMS
7 Import the MCMS Site (or just the templates)
I suggest you look into a 'how to' install MCMS guide. The following book
has a very comprehensive how to install & configure MCMS guide
http://www.packtpub.com/book/mcms
Regards

| Thanks guys,
Thing is I have already installed MCMS and buitl a site. I have been given
an MCMS site to do some additional work on and am not sure how to link it all
up. I have only been given the website folder with all the user controls and
template files?

| Hi Jim,
if you are not yet familiar with MCMS I would suggest to do the tutorial in
the MCMS documentation.
This will give you a good idea on the concepts of MCMS.
In addition I would recommend the following book which is suited to make you
an expert in a short time: http://tinyurl.com/6zj44
Cheers,
Stefan
