Hi,

Why "Kill lock" option in site manager is disabled even
though I've added myself in an Administrator role or
Channel manager role ?

Hi Smita,

this option is only active if an item is selected where a lock can be
killed.

Cheers,
Stefan.

Hi Stefan,

I'm trying to kill lock on a posting, that means we can
not kill lock on a posting using Site Manager ?

Hi Smita,

not every lock is killable!
I assume you posting is locked because it is owned by an author (e.g. in
saved state).
The kill lock feature is not intended to be used for this scenario.
The author needs to submit the posting to the workflow and when the posting
gets approved the item is automatically unlocked.

Cheers,
Stefan.

Stefan,

Is there ANY OTHER WAY to unlock an owner lock? We have a situation where the "owner" no longer works with us and we do not want to approve the changes, nor do we want to lose them. We have declined approval and we would like to remove the lock so another editor may continue editing the page.
