Broken images for Resources
|
|
|
| I put three images in the resource manager. However, when I attempt to
preview them, I get the javascript error exclamation on the stauts bar of my
browser which says "Error on page." When I view the error, it says "Access
Denied." It then lists a CMS type URL, but it's really cryptic. Also, if I
ignore the error message and submit the image to the resource manager, the
image never appears. I get the dreaded broken image red "x." I would try to
change the permissions on that CMS type URL, but it seems to always change.
Somebody please help me? What can I do to make this stop?
TIA.

| Hi Adam,
Do you have WSH 5.6 installed? I think you have rights on those resources.
Also are you sure that those images are not deleted?
Cheers,
Chester.

| Thanks for the suggestion, Chester. Answering your questions, I am running
MCMS on Windows 2003 Server, so I assume I have WSH 5.6 installed. (How can
I tell?) And yes, I am positive those images are not deleted. The error I
posted appears when I try to place an image in my file system to a resource
gallery. I would appreciate any help whatsoever. Here is the javascript
error I get on the "Add Resource" screen when I try to preview my resource:
Line 27
Char: 2
Error: Access is denied
Code: 0
URL:
http://localhost/NR/System/WBC/Inte...Create.asp?wbc%(blah blah blah)

| I needed to give Everyone Full Control over C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Content Management Server\Server.

| Hi Adam,
that is not rquired and not recommended.
You should only do this for the temp and the rdonlyres folder.
Cheers,
Stefan

| I'll take your word for it. FWIW - I opened a MS support ticket and they
recommended I set the permission on the Server folder. I'll buy your
solution.
Thanks,
Adam
