I have an MCMS Developer edition with an SQL Instance running on my
development machine - win xp HP Pavilion zv5370us notebook pc.

The issue i have been having and has me stumped is i have never been able to
do an export or import using my SDM.
Whenever i try, it just hangs. Its shows a progress screen that does not go
beyond 5% witht the message initialize even when i try to export 4 postings
into a package.

Also there is this sound that keep clicking, you know the kind of sound
you get when you click on something like say a hyperlink on a web page on
my HP laptop. The only way i can stop the progress bar is to kill the entire
process in my task manager.

I have tried the recommendation on the MCMS FAQ site which talks about
disabling shared memory and making the named pipes the first before
TCP/IP, increasing the timeout and mxrequestlength and restarting the IIS.
However when i did this i could not even login to the sitemanager as it
returned an error message "access denied to SQL Server...."

What do you think could be the problem?

Hi Bukenzon,

you should open a support case to get this analyzed.
That is not a known problem.

Cheers,
Stefan
