Hi to all,

i've installed CMS2002 + Sp1a under W2K3.
When i create a link using the tree view for a placeholder under the web
author console to a posting it works fine, but when i make another copy of
this posting and schedule to expire this the link was not more valid to the
approved one.

Can you help ME ???

Xref: number1.nntp.dca.giganews.com microsoft.public.cmserver.general:53464

The problem is that when i create two posting with sequential scheduling and
same name, when i link these using the internal link manager on a placeholder
CMS lose the link to this posting. I think that is not a corret operation of
CMS Manager.

This problem is often occured when i insert link using placeholder image
properties, make browse of the posting and select a published posting.
After this when the published posting expire i imagined that the link
automatically point to the new published one.

Hi Santre,

that is by design.
There is no way to get this working.
Links are using the posting GUID internally.
If the item it points to vanishs the links is deactivated.

Cheers,
Stefan
