I have setup/configured a development environment for MCMS 2002 on Multiple
servers (one server for IIS , the second is sql).
Everything works like a charm
I setup the web connector on my laptop, when I navigate to
http//myserver/woodgrove sampl site everythiçng works fine
The question is what should I setup on my laptop and my developer's machines
in order to open my VS 2002 or 2003 IDE and have the necesasry components to
work with remote site/servers. What I mean for example, is the MCMS explorer,
the tool box with the the different controls......

Thanks

Thanks Stefan. I followed exactly the same procedures for the dev machine and
started to follow the instructions regarding the developer machines (I
started by my Lap Top.
Once you setup all necessary software, It is indicated "to Configure MCMS,
On each developer computer, using the MCMS DCA, set the MCMS database to the
database you created on the build computer".
The problem when I launch DCA, you have to chose which mode, I chose "mixed,
then in the following dialog box we should chose between Read/Write modes
with a window refering toÃ_ "default Web site to Port 80 without an IP". How
can I tell which host (my development server) to search for the MCMS? it is
not possible.

Would please indicate how can this be done.

N.B :When I run sit manager, I get prompted with a dialog box that allows me
to write the server name as well as credentials and then everything goes Ok.

Hi Salam,

MCMS and VS.NET needs to be installed on every machine.
You need to work against your local machine. It is not possible to work
against a remote machine.
You should use Visual Source Safe to synchronize the template project
between the different machines.

Cheers,
Stefan
