Database restore problems

| We have a very starnge problem that doesn't seem to make any sense. To get
valid data in our test environment, we restored a production CMS database
from backup to our test server. We have the following issues:
1. All postings for one particular template have lost all content. The only
content shown is that (defaulted content) which appears when creating a new
posting for that template - actually the default content of an old version of
that template
2. Postings for another particular template are now based on an entirely
different template when you look at the posting properties. Both the original
and new templates have a heading placeholder - this is still populated with
the original content, but all other content has been lost
3. On postings for a third template, one placeholder has lost all content.
All other placeholders are fine
4. Some resource galleries are not visible
This is a database backup/restore - not an sdo export/import. It has been
restored twice with the same result. Any ideas anyone?

| Hi Dastardly,
backup and restore will not modify the content in any way.
The result you see would be a modification of the content.
As it is not a corruption (means content is scrambled) but replaced with
other but meaning ful content it sounds as if someone directly manipulated
the database tables.
If this is not the case you should open a support case for this.
Cheers,
Stefan
