| Hi,
I have integrated SPS 2003 and MCMS 2002 SP1a together so that I can use SPS
2003 search functions to search through my CMS website.
After a bit of devlopment it looks like I dont actually need the Connector
at all, because I have had to write my own search controls for use in the
CMS site.
Is this true? the Connector only provides some web controls out of the box
and if I have written my own I dont need the Connector whatsoever?
If this is true is it also true that if i write my own custom SPS web
parts/controls that reference CMS content instead of using the provided
controls from the Connector, I can do away with the Connector altogether?
Thanks
Graham

| Hi Graham,
the connector ships with a couple of controls and web parts and a couple of
tools to configure search.
If you developed your own controls you don't need the connector.
Cheers,
Stefan
