Strange URLs on live site
|
|

| Hi
We've noticed some strange things happening to the URLs of hyperlinks on our
live site recently. One example is this:
http://ourdomain/Business/?wbc_purpose=basic
(unless I'm going mad I'm sure I've never seen the "?wbc_purpose=basic" part
on the live site. It's appearing in hyperlink URLs present in placeholder
content, and also hyperlinks in navigation custom controls).
Another (intermittent) example is:
http://ourdomain/EducationAndLearni...23%23%2
3
Again, why are we seeing authoring-related querystrings, and what's with all
the url-encoded stuff? This one doesn't happen all the time - this example
was sent to us by a user.
Thanks in advance
Andy

| I omitted to mention that the first example URL also appears intermittently.

| Hi Andy,
sounds as if you have a 3rd party ISAPI filter which causes this.
Please check if there are any 3rd party ISAPI filter installed.
Cheers,
Stefan

| Hi Stefan
Thanks for the reply. We do have a couple of 3rd-party ISAPI filters
installed on the server: "UrlScan" and "AppCenter". I'm not aware that these
are CMS-related though, so why would they be adding what look like
authoring-related querystrings onto the URLs of a live read-only CMS server?
It may be coincidence but once or twice I've noticed this problem starts
happening around the time of our SDO export (the problem disappears around an
hour later).
Regards
Andrew

| Hi Andy,
I'm more looking for a ISAPI filter that have a bug.
These two should not cause problems.
If you can't figure out the reason I would suggest to open a support case
for this.
Cheers,
Stefan
