Flash- CMS Integration Q1 of 2: Old flash (XML/file Based)
Hi, this is Question 1 of 2 about Flash - CMS integration.

We are in the middle of a migration project to move our current sites
into CMS.
One of the sites makes heavy use of Flash and includes XML files to
redirect or provide the flash shell to final resources, images, text
that are then loaded and displayed by the Flash movie.
We would like to take advantage of the CMS functionality to manage
those resources, but dont want to modify the actual Flash files right
now, since there are quite a few of them.

Among quite a few ideas, we have come to a middle ground, the
suggestion is to upload all those files to CMS, and then create a
custom application to automatically reextract or regenerate the site
tree at the file server (maybe Site stager could work too??), so that
the Flash-XML redirections and functionality still works ok.

Any other ideas? Are we overengineering this thing and there may be an
easier way to do this?
If not, then what would be the best way to go about this? which API
calls would be the most appropriate?
Thanks,
Ice
