| Hi Stefan,
So i can say that there is nothing wrong with the installations. And it is
legal. Except that there is a access denied error when i tried to log in with
the particular id into a Active directory.
I believe the user id and password is autheticated as i got a wrong password
error when i type in a invalid one.
Okie. Confirmation:
MCMS2002 SP2 can run with only Microsoft SQL 2005 in the pc?
Cheers,
JJ

| Hi Stefan,
I reckon the error arises when i access the SQL 2005 instead of the AD the
userid reside. Hence can i say that you need SQL 2000 to be installed first,
MCMS setup properly. Subsequently the database can be upgraded to 2005 and
link to a new database.
Reason being I do not have any problems when i follow this sequence, but
when i tried with a fresh sql2005 setup on the XP pro sp2 computer, it gives
me this error.
The sequence again
..NET Framework 1.1
..NET Framework 2.0
SQL 2005
:The rest of the components needed for MCMS to be installed
MCMS 2002 sp1a
MCMS 2002 sp2
Thanks.
Cheers,
JJ

| Hi JJ,
there is no need to create a database on SQL 2000.
You can create a database with SQL 2005.
Cheers,
Stefan
