Office 2003 and Authoring Connector

| New to MCMS. Install is complete, but when we tried to install the Authoring
Connector, it failed with a message that Office XP was required. I assume
that Office 2003 would avoid this error, but since the Server Admins are
reluctant to install Office 2003 on a server, is there a way to get the
Authoring Connector to work without doing an Office install?
Thanks,

| Hi David,
Authoring Connector is a tool to allow authoring from Word.
So why would you want to install Authoring Connector without Word?
That just does not make sense.
Cheers,
Stefan

| Stefan,
Thanks for the response.
I have subsequently learned is that the Authoring Connector is installed on
the client, not the server. My assumption now is that an install of Office
2003 is not required on the server for the connector to work. Let me know if
I am wrong on this.
Thanks,
