I am having a mid-life crisis here... if Share Point is soon to merge with
CMS - is it worth it to create a brand-new dev enviroment, applying the 60+
hot patches, upgrading to SQL05, then CMS02SP2, then applying all the extra
patches? or should I tryi to convince my boss to hold on until the new
product comes out?

Hi,

you should install just SQL 2005, MCMS 2002 SP1a + SP2 and the hotfixes
listed here in case you are affected by one of the issues:

Cheers,
