Team Foundation Server, VS2005 and CMS2002 error
|

| Hi All I'm getting the following error the first time I try to check things
into TFS
unable to cast object of type
'Microsoft.ContentManagement.DeveloperTools.VisualStudio.Documents.TemplateExplorerDocument'
to type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Interop.IVsHierrarchy'
I'm using VS2005/Team Suite Edition
Team Foundation Server (RC)
Other (non-CMS) projects check in to TFS just fine.
Questions:
1) If I install the final release of TFS will this fix the issue
2) Is this just another marvellous lack of integration from the MCMS setup
package team?
Anyone with any experience of TFS with CMS please shout!
cheers,
Paul

| I have since found a solution post:
To check in a CMS enabled project into TFS first close the solution and then
use the pending checkins window to do the checkin. This works fine. Rather
painful if you have multiple projects with files checked out of course.....
Checking out works fine while the project is open.
Genius?

| Hi Paul,
please open a support case for this.
This needs to be investigated in more details.
We already have a bug open against MCMS with Team Foundation services.
It might be related to the same issue or it could be a new one.
Cheers,
Stefan

| Hi Paul, Stafan,
I'm about to enbark on a project with these variables in it. If you could
post any solution/workaround/fix details on here that would be great!
